- Flyleaf in Grosse Pointe, Michigan is also a bar and retail wine shop, so they’ll not only be offering 20% off all Romance titles, but will be offering a themed cocktail special all day and Date Night In (if you purchase a romance book and a bottle of wine, you get 25% off both).
- More fun in Portland, Oregon! Bookstore Romance Day happens to be on the same day as Annie Bloom’s Books neighborhood’s 100-year-old street fair, Multnomah Days, so they’re combining the two! They’ll have a booth directly outside their shop on the street fair route, where they’ll host theirauthor meet and greets (11am-12pm: Erin Connor and Samantha Allen; 1pm-2pm: Lexi LaFleur Brown and Samantha Saldivar), along with a raffle station and Blind Dates With an ARC (free with each and every romance book purchase). Multnomah Days features musical acts, a community parade, an art fair, an auto show, food carts, and over 170 vendor booths. - At {pages}: a bookstore in Manhattan Beach, California, it’s Romance trope BINGO with prizes! They’ve replaced numbers and letters with book tropes and titles and will have three romance authors as BINGO callers. - Wanderlust Mobile Bookstore in Madison, Wisconsin iscelebrating our very first Bookstore Romance Day by throwing a full block party in partnership with Giant Jones Brewing and Old Sugar Distillery. On Saturday, August 15th from 3–7pm, they’ll have six local Wisconsin romance authors on hand to sign books; ten Wisconsin makers and vendors; craft beer; handcrafted spirits; and all the bookish energy you’d expect from a bus full of romance novels.

- Got a sweet tooth? Check out Sweet Reads Society in Newton Falls, Ohio. They’vecreated a special Book Boyfriend Stuffed Cookie Menu inspired by some of their favorites. To make the day even more memorable, every customer who purchases a book will receive a free themed sticker and a chance to Spin to Win exclusive prizes with their book purchase. The celebration doesn’t stop when the store closes! In the evening, we’re hosting an 18+ After Dark Romance Roulette event, where ticket holders will enjoy a fun, interactive romance-themed experience filled with surprises and bookish fun.
- At the Katonah Reading Room in Katonah, New York , they have invited multiple authors in for a Romance Book Fair—they will selling their books and signing in the Reading Room’s “Speakeasy” event space.
- The day is packed at Lakeside Bookshop in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. They are hosting the local Romance writing duo known as Nicole Linette. - Lala Books in Lowell, Massachesetts will be celebrating on August 22 and has themed all of their events around favorite Romance tropes. During Slow Burn they’ll have a word unscramble, word search and cross word puzzles. During Forced Proximity the audience will be able to unleash their inner artist and create their perfect bookish partner or write letters to their loves. Things kick up in Enemies to Lovers where folks can participate in our scavenger hunt! They will be closing things out with Second Chance Romance with Bingo and a game of Kahoot!
- The Bookies in Denver, Colorado is hosting a Pitch-a-Friend dating event (Book Lovers Edition!) with a local organization. 4-8 people will pitch their hottie, single book-loving friends as great dating potential. Anyone 21+ can attend for free to mingle and watch the presentations.
- This year local romance authors will join The Garden District Book Shop in New Orleans, Louisiana as “Romance Concierges”for Bookstore Romance Day! Throughout the day a rotation of local romance authors will “guest star” alongside our booksellers. Customers will receive stellar recommendations, have the opportunity to get their books signed, and get some one-on-one time with their favorite local authors.
